About 1423 Leaders
Our Mission at Vertical is to compel the world around us to passionately follow Jesus.
In the book of Luke, Jesus shares a parable about a great feast. The banquet master tells his servants to go and invite others to the banquet. After many people decline the invitation, the master tells his servants to bring in the poor, the crippled, the blind, and the lame to the banquet. The servants replied that they had done so, but there was still more room at the table. The master commands his servants, “Go out to the roads and country lanes and compel them to come in, so that my house will be full." (Luke 14:23)
1423 Leaders are people who have accepted the calling to take the name of Jesus to the world and fulfill Luke 14:23 and the Great Commission to "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit" (Matthew 28:19).
1423 Leaders have committed their lives to follow Jesus, have a clear calling to ministry/missions, and will live a life that leaves no doubt that Jesus is of the greatest value as they take the Gospel to the nations. Vertical Church is proud to support their ministries.
1423 Leader Requirements:
Must live a life that demonstrates a clear submission to the Lordship of Jesus Christ, the Bible, and leaves no doubt that Jesus is of the greatest value.
Must demonstrate a clear calling to ministry/missions and to take the name of Jesus out to the world to fulfill the Great Commission.
Must align theologically with the Vertical Church of the Mountains Statement of Faith (also called “Spine Issues”).
Must be able to outline and share the organization you are partnering/participating with, the type of the ministry work you will be doing, and how you anticipate funding will be used.
Must be able to provide basic contact information to reach you or your sending organization. (We realize that some missionaries will be unable to publicly share where they operate or in what means they do so.)
Must submit an application for consideration & be approved by Vertical Church.
