Vertical Church is a multi-campus church in North Georgia committed to compel the world around us to passionately follow Jesus. We gather in two locations: our Blairsville Campus and our Hiawassee Campus. We believe that following Jesus is for everyone, no matter where you are or what your life has looked like. Our Story

Vertical Church was founded in 2017 by a group of people passionate about Jesus and desiring to reach those who are not engaged in the local church. Vertical was built to be a church like a home for those who have walked through struggles such as addiction, divorce, abortion, or other trials in life that often make people feel like church is no longer an option of them. We want anyone, at any time, no matter their past to come and have a stronger relationship with Jesus. 

Our Mission at Vertical is to compel the world around us to passionately follow Jesus. In the book of Luke, Jesus shares a parable about a great feast. The banquet master tells his servants to go and invite others to the banquet. After many people decline the invitation, the master tells his servants to bring in the poor, the crippled, the blind and the lame to the banquet. The servants reply that they had done so but there was still more room at the table. The master commands his servants "‘Go out to the roads and country lanes and compel them to come in, so that my house will be full." (Luke 14:23)

Vertical Church exists in North Georgia to go to the country lanes and roads to compel people to come in and experience the great banquet of a relationship with Jesus.

Vertical Church is an independent non-denominational church. 

Our beliefsOur Story

Vertical Church does not have traditional church "membership." We invite anyone who wants to official call Vertical Church "home" to come to our quarterly Join the Family Class. At the class, we talk about what it means to be a part of the Vertical family. It includes a time for us to share more about the church and answer any questions you may have. 

You can expect to be welcomed by friendly faces as you enter our parking lot and walk into our buildings! Our volunteers are always happy to help you find a seat or answer any questions! During our services, you can expect a time of worship followed by a 35 minute message focused on Bible-teaching. We have a coffee bar and snacks to help you feel at home. 

There is no dress code at Vertical Church! Just come as you are and we promise that you will feel at home.

We believe, wholeheartedly, in investing in the children of our church. Whether your kids attend our kids' program or stay with you in service, we love to see kids and families at church! 

We have a children's program at the 11am Service in Blairsville and the 10:15am Service in Hiawassee. 

For children who stay in the service, we have worship bags and/or clipboards for their enjoyment! We also have a family worship area which includes rocking chairs and an area for your kids to play.

We believe the Bible is the inspired word of God and should be read from Genesis to Revelation. While we do not have an official "favorite" version of the Bible, on Sunday's you will often find us using (but not limited to) the New Living Translation (NLT) or English Standard Version (ESV)! If you do not have a Bible, we would love to give you one! Just ask any of our Sunday Volunteers!
