Associate Pastor
The Associate Pastor will be working closely with the Lead Pastor to oversee each location of Vertical Church and helping pastor the people, raise up disciples, and steward the resources God has entrusted to Vertical Church.
This position is a salary position, working 40 hours per week (typically Sunday through Thursday). Some evenings will be required, as well as extended hours during Christmas, Easter, and core events.
Responsibilities:
1. Overseeing Pastoral care of each location with the Lead Pastor.
2. Working with the Lead Pastor to oversee the deacons and all ministries inside and outside of Vertical Church locations.
3. Leading and growing Vertical Groups of both locations to maximize our discipleship efforts.
4. Overseeing all serve projects/Saturdays for both locations.
5. Work to produce excellent events/services, aligning teams around the church culture set by the Lead Pastor and ensuring that events/services are adequately scheduled and staffed.
6. Pastoral care and support for volunteer team leaders.
7. Overseeing any building needs for Vertical Church and keeping the Lead Pastor updated on any upcoming needs for the buildings of each location.
8. Ability to go between locations to serve where needed on Sundays.
9. Managing all resources needed for the volunteer teams and making sure they are equipped.

You will be looking after:
- Overseeing the ministries that Vertical Church works with in the community.
- Spending time with Vertical Group leaders of both locations to make sure they are supported, continually developed, and that material is approved for a Vertical Group.
- Overseeing a budget to help meet needs both inside Vertical Church and in the local community.
- Maintaining all equipment needed for Vertical Church functioning.
- Assisting with core projects/events.
- Overseeing quarterly preventative maintenance for church vehicle(s), building, and other Vertical Church assets to ensure stewardship.
- Performing hospital visits, checking on those in need inside of Vertical, and leading the care team to minister to the church.
- Attending all staff meetings, debrief meetings, and additional meetings as required.
- Leading serve projects/serve Saturdays for both locations.
- Any other projects or tasks assigned by the Lead Pastor.
You have:
- Bachelor’s, Associate, or Technical Degree in a relevant field and 2+ years’ experience OR…
- 4+ years’ experience in a church leadership environment.
- Proven ability to manage volunteer teams and coordinate roles in a growing ministry.
- Demonstrated leadership with experience training, managing, and mentoring volunteers.
- Ability to oversee multiple volunteers/events at once.
- The ability to lift 50+ pounds and help unload and load equipment for setup and teardown each week.
- Desire to consistently grow as a Campus Pastor and look to maximize the ministries you are over.
- A passion for community engagement and service projects.

Interim Campus Pastor/Director – Blairsville
The Campus Pastor’s main focus will be working closely with the Lead Pastor to oversee the Blairsville location of Vertical Church and helping pastor the people, raise up disciples, and steward the resources God has entrusted to Vertical Church.
This position is a part-time hourly position. Some evenings will be required, as well as possible extended hours during Christmas, Easter, and core events.
Responsibilities:
1. Overseeing Pastoral care of the Blairsville location with the Lead Pastor.
- Pastoral care can include discipleship, counseling, mentoring, and the overall care for the people of the church and their needs.
2. Working with the deacons to help oversee ministries inside and outside the church.
3. Overseeing volunteer team leaders and any needs/resources the different volunteer teams have.
4. Helping set up anything needed on Sunday mornings for church.
5. Overseeing any building needs for Vertical Church and keeping the Lead Pastor updated on any upcoming needs for the building of the Blairsville location.
6. Managing all resources needed for the volunteer teams and making sure they are equipped.
